You can submit jobs that contain multiple files and multiple target locales. To make creating and managing the job easier, they are treated as one job in GlobalSight.

For example, three files and three target locales are submitted for “Job_01”. GlobalSight creates one job that contains three activities, with each activity corresponding to a target locale.

In My Activities, you can see the three activities corresponding to a specific target locale:

Each activity contains three files, or all of the files within the job. You can tell that each activity contains more than one file, since you cannot Accept or Export one file only.

Similarly, when you click Accept you are accepting all three files. Users do not generally accept an activity, but a job. This job may contain multiple activities of a specific target locale.

Likewise, when you click Task Completed you are completing all three files, or all of the files in the job. Only click Task Completed when you have completed all of the the activities (or files) in a job.

Note that only users with the rights to see My Jobs can see the job information. Most users, however, can see My Activities.

You can define these permissions – what a user can and cannot see – in the Permission Groups configurations screen.
